Contributed by Karlyn Benson / July is the height of the summer art season, with cultural events and festivals of all kinds as well as numerous open studio tours. The Campus, a collaborative space founded by the galleries Bortolami, James Cohan, kaufmann repetto, Anton Kern, Andrew Kreps, and kurimanzutto, opened on June 29. Located in Claverack, NY near Hudson, the building is a 78,000-square-foot former school that has been vacant since the 1990s. The 2024 Inaugural Exhibition was organized by Timo Kappeller and runs through October 27. The biggest art event of the summer, UPSTATE ART WEEKEND, takes place for four days this year, from July 18 to 21. We’re publishing a special post about UAW in the coming weeks. At the end of the month, the AMR Open Studios Tour features 60+ art studios and galleries in the beautiful Catskill Mountains of Eastern Delaware County, NY.
